Requires skills in sampling; statistics; the design of surveys including sample surveys; analysis of data collected through complex sample designs; sampling theory incl sampling, weighting, and estimation; and one of the following software programs SAS, STATA, R, or Winsteps.br BUSINESS NECESSITY Further to H.12 All job requirements are normal except that the minimum requirements for this job appear to exceed the typical requirements per the OES Job Zone 4 definition. American Institutes for Research AIR requires that all employees in the Senior Researcher NCES role meet or exceed these requirements. The job requirements are absolutely necessary for this particular type and level of position because, as indicated by the Sr prefix in the job title, a Senior Researcher NCES is an advanced, seniorlevel position within our structure and conducts highlevel data analysis, lead highlevel research studies, monitor and direct project staff, manage client relationships, lead the writing of reports, and mentor Jr research analysts. This work involves complex skills that require employees in this position to hold significant relevant experience. The position involves strong research duties and research leadership which includes the use and application of statisticalpsychometric methods; such abilities only come with the the required minimum level of qualifications. The job requirements bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation of Senior Researcher NCES in the context of our business, and the requirements are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner.
