Must have experience with codes and standards related to electrical substations including NERCPRC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI. Must have experience with implementation of IEC 61850, DNP3 and SEL communication protocols. Must have experience with developing logic programming and downloadable relay setpoint files for protection and monitoring of major substation equipment including circuit breakers, station buses, capacitor banks, and transformer banks using modern digital relay devices relays; electrical system modeling; short circuit system analysis; and relay coordination studies for transmission and distribution systems. Must have experience with developing complex engineering calculations including protective relay fault calculations and with all components used in the construction and protection of substation equipment. Experience with various substation configurations, basic protection schemes and practices for transmission lines pilot relaying POTT, DTT, DCB, and line differential, station buses, capacitor banks, power circuit breakers, distribution feeders, and other major substation equipment, is required. Experience must include design of high voltage electrical transmission and distribution substations of 12kV or greater voltage; preparing a variety of electrical engineering deliverables, including onelines, AC threelines, connection diagrams, panel elevations, communication connection diagrams, and protection control schematics for power substation facilities; preparing auxiliary power equipment sizing calculations; preparing wiring diagrams for protective relaying panels; performing engineering calculationsstudies related to substation projects including ACDC station service loading, and voltage drop; creating new and modify existing SCADA, Relay IEDs communication elementaries, Substation Alarms, SCADA RTU control, status and analog point lists, DNP mapping, cable schedules; creating bill of materials; developing recommendations for equipment andor materials selection; reviewing shop drawings, vendor quotes and perform engineering project cost estimation; understanding and adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Must be familiar with networkbased protection and control systems, and communication protocols; AC and DC fundamentals and experience with threephase electrical power systems; and crossfunctional communication and coordination with various engineering disciplines and contractors to execute substation projects. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
