Specific Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in power systems at bachelors or graduate academic level plus 8 years related experience. Must have at least 5 years experience in renewable power system analysis or related fields with demonstrated ability in the use of power systems modeling software PSSE, PSSMUST, PSLF, TARA, Powerworld, Aspen OneLiner, or comparable tools. Must have experience with GI studies, power flow analysis, reactive deficiency studies, transient stability analysis, shortcircuit, and voltage analysis. A general knowledge of substation layout and protection control schemes is also required. Must have demonstrated working knowledge of GI process tariffs, interconnection agreements and requirements at a RTO or utility, including PJM or ERCOT. Must have project management experience with GI studies and processes. Must be familiar with various standards, including NERC TPL, applicable to Inverter Based Resources IBR and Transmission PlanningOperations. Must have demonstrated ability to engage in technical writing. Position can work from anywhere in the U.S., but must be willing to travel to company offices in Kansas City, MO at least once per quarter.
