Specific Skills Masters degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus 3 years of experience in any data scientist position in the financial services industry. 3 years of experience extracting and manipulating data, building feature engineering pipelines using multiple database technologies such as MySQL Server and Hadoop. 3 years of experience with data scripting languages e.g., SQL, Python, R or statisticalmathematical software e.g., R, SAS, or Matlab. Demonstrated experience working on projects involving large scale, multidimensional databases, complex business infrastructure, and crossfunctional teams. Demonstrated ability to work with relational databases, write SQL scripts, and set up data pipelines for moving and processing large amounts of data. Demonstrated experience developing supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms e.g., regression, decision treesrandom forest, neural networks, NLP, feature selectionreduction, clustering, parameter tuning, etc.. Demonstrated understanding of common families of models, feature engineering, feature selection, and practical machine learning issues. Demonstrated understanding of techniques to build explainable artificial intelligencemachine learning solutions to ensure compliance in the highly regulated lending industry. In lieu of a Masters degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the requirements listed above.
