Specific Skills:This position requires a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Cereal Science, Grain Science, Food Science, or a related field and 1 year of related experience. Must also have 12 months of experience which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 conducting experiments and scientific writing on dehulling, milling, protein dry fractionation, heat treatments and ingredient functionality of dry beans, quinoa, and flax; 2 developing methods to test pulsespulse ingredients, and experience of operating pilot scale pulsedurum mills; 3 leading research projects and quality testing of durum, semolina and pasta including experiments on raw material and processing technology effects on appearance, textural, cooking, and flavor attributes of pasta products; 4 experience on food safety and quality including HACCPGMPISO systems, team member training, manufacturing process transformations and fundamental knowledge on business economics, managementfinancial accounting; and 5 independently prepares and delivers oral and written communication for technicalnontechnical audiences. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Ph.D. program. This position requires up to 50 domestic travel.
